Is there some sort of aversion therapy we can work on? Because, seriously, I at least attempt to differentiate between the Republican Party as an institution and persons who self-identify as Republicans.

It's impossible to debate if people simply hold beliefs that have no grounding in reality.

I just spent the better part of a year in Kansas (Leavenworth, not in jail). "Big mamma" is what we called the skinny women. Common pickup lies in bars went like "No really, I find hairy chested women attractive."
