Davinci is getting married!

I mean, our *very own* Davinci!

Most of you will have missed this, since it only showed up in comments on my recent Diplomacy diary:

Davinci: "I have a wedding in three weeks and a honeymoon after."

So congratulations (&/or condolences) to the lucky (&/or unlucky) bridegroom (&/or bride).

Huzzah!

And - personal aside to Davinci - here's hoping that this paragon (&/or virago) you're marrying won't mind too much if you go on checking in, from time to time, with the guys at the Forvm.

Not that I'd blame her if she did.

God help the while, a bad world I say.

If you get a chance, stop off in Burlington VT on your way down to New England. The White Mountains of northern New Hampshire are also quite beautiful. Above all, enjoy yourself.

I blame it all on the Internet

Thank you all for the wishes and advise... (#95262)

The wedding is around the corner and the party should be fun.. Praying for good weather from what ever god or Karma that has an impact on those matters... We are having an outdoor wedding with Reception to follow... We do have a fall back position... Logistically operational but not the same.. We are Road tripping to Canada the following week with a stop in Chicago on the way... Toronto, Montreal and Quebec. We hope to have time to hit some of the NE US.. Boston is a place we have never been along with everything else north of NYC...

Any of you world travelers have hot spots of sights on the Road from Chicago to Canada or in the NE. All advise is welcome...

Thank you all again and Vinteuil for the diary...

Best Wishes to you and yours
Da...

Try to take lots of deep breaths on the big day, and try to take everything in. It's weird being the (almost) center of attention for an entire day. Enjoy it.

...don't be in a hurry, there are things to see to be sure but the odd little stop, the things seen and felt along the way are what makes a Road Trip so very special.

I did the drive from NYC up to Quebec City...besides the above admonition:

1. Quebec City, be sure to take the Ferry across the St. Laurence...if only for the heck of it. Stay inside the old city walls...if at all possible.

2. I really liked Portland, Maine....weird, but there you have what is best about a road trip.

3. All of Boston is good, but it is a big city...Quincy Markets, Freedom Trail, the Kennedy Library...it is pretty hard to go wrong in Boston...

(pisst, man to man, the passing of secret masculine knowledge...let her handle the map, navagation functions...you will thank me for this later...lol)

Best Wishes, Traveller

Here's to many happy years together.

It's impossible to debate if people simply hold beliefs that have no grounding in reality.

Remember, nothing keeps a marriage stronger & happier than blogging. Oh wait, no, that's communication. I'm not sure what blogging does. Anyhow, enjoy and best wishes!

But I'm pissed that you didn't invite me.

Just wondering.

Almost never (#95275)

Chicks dig me, guys want to be like me and I'm only ever a problem if there are kids and/or clergy around. His leaving me off the invite list could only be taken as an insult.
